Infocusp Innovations

Associate Engineer, on the Crispy Cones platform.

At Infocusp Innovations I own the frontend, backend and API architecture for Crispy Cones, a Shark Tank–featured US dessert chain with 35+ stores, 20–25K monthly users and 40–50K orders a month.

Across the stack

I ship features across the iPad kiosk, the native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) apps, and the React admin dashboard, and I built the API behind them.

A serverless API

A TypeScript REST API I built with Hono on AWS Lambda, MongoDB and Square POS. Terraform provisions each environment across Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, SES, EventBridge and Cognito.

Webhooks are processed asynchronously on SQS queues, and payouts to HQ run on their own. Critical flows answer in under a second at p90.

~$400per environment per month, kept there with CloudWatch and Budget alerts.

Secure, and tested

Customers, admins and kiosks sign in with phone-based one-time codes through AWS Cognito, and role-based access decides what each can call.

A credit-card-only surcharge is added at the kiosk; debit cards are exempt.

~99%test coverage with Vitest and an in-memory MongoDB, plus Karate API suites in CI/CD.

Watching the kiosk

I added Datadog to the kiosk, logging payments, the Square card reader and each step a customer takes, and fixed crashes on the main thread.
